Snapshots: Pretty Summer Scenes

Orange! I really like orange color especially in summer. Today was quite great day. I had a lot of free time to spend. I preferred to enjoy some sunshine near the field. Unfortunately, I got some itchy spots on my skin. It was so itchy that I could not stop scratching my own hands and legs. Hahaha. But, it was fun to play outside and enjoy the breeze.

Snapshots: Mustard Greens-Tiny Garden

This summer, my father and I are growing some vegetables. We are growing a lot of mustard greens. We make use small land near our house to grow the mustard greens. It is like we are having small but delightful garden in our own home. I am so exciting to see the seeds growing day by day. Now, they are that high. But, sometimes I cannot keep my self not to think about how much we planted. I just reckon that we have planted too much (and then I come up with giggles, LOL). Honestly, we cannot predict how the vegetables will grow and give us some benefits later on. What I should do now is just enjoy watching them growing and harvest them one day.

Snapshots: Beautiful Twilight

This late afternoon I spent some minutes to refresh my eyes and my mind after several hours working in front of my laptop. I found that some of the flowers grown by my neighbor have been blooming. So, in hurry I took my pocket camera and went for some photo shots. I got some delightful pictures with hilarious twilight as the background.

Recently, I'm in love with pink color. I don't know, but I could not resist to buy a new pink nail polish even though I have many already. It was kinda hilarious when I matched my pink nails with Hello Kitty ring. Hello Kitty always goes pink (and red). I like this style :)

Summer Skincare and Face Care Routine

Summer time always becomes a great time to play or do anything outdoor. This season is perfect for anything playful such as enjoying the sun light, lying on the meadow (oh, I wonder I can do this), playing with bugs on the grass, dipping our feet in the pool, and many more. However, in Indonesia, summer time or dry season will be something quite annoying. It is because Indonesian people's skin is very easy to get burnt by sun light. Thus, we have to protect our skin in order not to get darker and duller.

Agree with that habit, I also try to always keep my skin protected. So, I prefer to use skincare and face-care containing SPF for daily especially in daylight. Meanwhile, at night I use something calming to keep my skin moisturized and soothed. The followings are the skincare and face-care I use in this summer:

1. Nivea UV Extra Whitening Serum SPF 25 ++

This product is a kind of body lotion. But, this Nivea product comes in smaller particle so that it is called serum. I like this product, by the way, since it contains high SPF level. I use it daily to protect my skin and minimize skin dullness. I love the smell and the texture of this product. The smell is so great and fresh. It reminds me to the summer meadow combining with gentle summer breeze. 

2.Oriflame Optimals White Day Fluid SPF 15

Actually, this is a face whitening lotion. The texture is almost like cream but it is more watery. Maybe, the texture is like body lotion. I use this lotion in daylight since it contains SPF 15. I like it since it can keep my face from dryness and keep my face from darkening. 

3. Oriflame Pure Nature Aloe Vera & Arnica Extract Soothing Cleansing Pads

I use this product to calm my skin after spending hours outdoor. I like the smell. This product can be used to cleanse our face after using makeup as well. I always bring it inside by bag or purse. It is very practical to use.

4. Oriflame Aqua-Rhythm Visible Skin Renewer

This product is like face serum. It is used to renew our skin in very smooth and calming way. I like using this product at night before I go to sleep. In the morning, my face-skin is already renewed, so my face is ready to apply makeup or another face-care product.

Summer Pastel Blast: Nail Polishes and Cute Rings

I'm ready for summer! However, sadly Indonesian Geophysics and Meteorology Department says that some parts of Indonesia will not experience summer or dry season this year. Well, that's true. My province is included in the list of places in Indonesia which will not experience dry season this year. Even though sometimes the day is sunny but suddenly the rain falls down in the end of the day. But, this condition does not really give bad impact to me. I still enjoy the day. I enjoy the day by wearing something in pastel. And today, I bought some cute stuff in pastel colors, they are nail polishes. O ya, I bought two new rings as well. I love them!

I can't wait any longer to try applying those nail polishes on my nails!! Let's see what will happen to my nails tomorrow (now, I'm still selecting which one I will try first, LOL).

Summer Day Toiletries: Nature Secrets Shower Gels

Akhir-akhir ini hawa di Jogja berasa makin panas aja. Apalagi kalau buat melakukan aktivitas outdoor, duh duh, ampun panas banget. Cuaca yang panas gini seringkali membuat kulit mudah kering dan bersisik. Meskipun udah pakai body cream kadang masih juga bersisik dan kering. Wait! Sebelum menyalahkan cuaca dan body cream, lebih baik cek dulu deh sabun mandi yang kita pakai. Biasanya sabun mandi yang memiliki kandungan sabun yang tinggi bisa menyebabkan kulit kering, pecah-pecah, dan bersisik. 

Ngomong-ngomong soal toiletries yang cocok dipakai untuk summer day kayak gini, lebih baik yang mengandung aloe vera atau lidah buaya. Kenapa? Karena lidah buaya dapat menenangkan dan mendinginkan kulit, serta melembabkan. Deskripsi dari Oriflame: Mengandung aloe vera yang menghidrasi dan ekstrak semangka yang menenangkan, gel mandi yang menyegarkan ini dengan lembut membersihkan kulit sambil menyehatkan dengan keharuman yang lembut dan segar. Bebas sabun dan pH seimbang.

Dari deskripsi diatas dapat disimpulkan bahwa shower gel yang berwarna bening kehijauan ini berfungsi untuk menghidrasi, melembabkan, melembutkan, dan menyegarkan kulit. Shower gel ini juga mengandung glycerin yang cocok untuk kulit sensitif dan kering. Wanginya juga lumayan harum meskipun samar-samar aja. Tapi memang sih, setelah pakai shower gel ini beberapa hari, rasanya kulit jadi adem dan shower gel ini cukup efektif mengurangi kekeringan kulit akibat paparan sinar matahari langsung.

Untuk kali ini, aku sengaja beli yang ukuran jumbo, karena selain warnanya merah, di dalamnya juga ada butir-butir scrubnya berwarna hijau. Kesimpulannya, kedua shower gel dari Nature Secrets Oriflame ini sangat cocok digunakan sebagai pengganti sabun mandi di musim panas/kemarau seperti ini. Selain bisa mengurangi kekeringan kulit dan menjaga agar kulit tetap adem dan fresh, kedua shower gel ini juga mampu membersihkan kulit dari kotoran yang menempel. Kandungan minus sabunnya sangat penting untuk mempertahankan kelembaban kulit.

Snapshots: Hot Hot Day

Woah! Today is so hot. Unlike the other days previously, today is full of sunshine. I really enjoyed the day. I decided to take a bath earlier and wore my casual Bart Simpson shirt and cotton short compiled with cute bunny bow headband. Seems that Cheeten enjoyed the sunlight too. She did sun bathing for a while. She is so lovely. Now, she is getting bigger. So much bigger than the day I found her. Hey, I think it is better to get some ice cream :)

Days With Cheeten

You see, I had a new kitten :) Recently, I figured that Cheeten is female (previously I guessed that the kitten was male). She is very lovely. I had a lot of fun with her. It has been 4 days she live with me in my house. She likes me a lot. It seems like she knows me as her mother. LOL. I love her indeed.

Cheeten now grows up very well. She likes milk and anything salty. She tried some chocolate as well. LOL. She likes chasing small chicks and playing in the ground. Every time I leave her alone to work, she is able to find out the "nest" (a bamboo basket covered with fluffy clothes where she should sleep in). She sleeps there until I come to visit her and give her milk and foods.

Today, we enjoyed the day together. Now, she is sleeping already. Actually, today and yesterday we did something almost similar. We played in the grass. We had a fun walk together around my house. We played with a doll. Yes, I gave her a doll, my little doll. She was happy and now she is sleeping with the doll.

Tomorrow I plan to invite her to discover the surrounding further. I hope tomorrow we will have so much fun to do.

Nature Secrets Talc: Floral Bouquet & Forest Glade

Beberapa hari yang lalu aku nge-haul beberapa produk Oriflame sekalian masukin order dari para customer *ceilah*. Di katalog C5 (Mei 2013) ada beberapa produk baru yang ditawarkan, salah satunya si Nature Secrets Talc. Sebenarnya ini bukan produk baru di dunia Oriflame tapi untuk Oriflame Indonesia, ini adalah produk baru. Biasanya kan kalau talc itu muncul bersamaan dengan kemunculan parfum, deodorizing body spray atau body cream (wanginya senada gitu lah). Tapi kali ini si talc hadir soliter alias nggak nebeng produk parfum atau produk wewangian lain.

Berhubung Jogja akhir-akhir ini panasnya ngajak berantem dan bikin aku keringetan sepanjang hari, jadi aku putuskan untuk membeli talc di Oriflame. Berbeda dari produk deodoran buat keti atau yang spray, menurutku talc lebih ramah sama kulit terutama nggak bikin kulit keti jadi item. Tapi eh tapi, nggak semua orang juga cocok pakai talc, ada yang malah jadi alergi dan bruntusan. Untuk harganya, si Nature Secrets Talc ini masih ikut harga promo, yaitu cuma Rp14.500 per botol isi 100gr. Ada 3 varian Nature Secrets Talc yang dijual Oriflame, pengen beli tiga-tiganya sih tapi ibuk bilang beli 2 dulu aja. Ya sudahlah, saya ngikut yang lebih tua saja *sungkem ke ibuk*. FYI, 3 varian Nature Secrets Talc adalah Floral Bouquet (botol pink), Tropical Burst (botol kuning), dan Forest Glade (botol hijau). Menurut keterangan yang ada di katalog, Floral Bouquet memiliki wangi yang lembut dan selaras, kalau Tropical Burst memiliki keharuman buah dan bunga eksotis, sedangkan Forest Glade memiliki aroma yang begitu hangat dan kaya. Karena tergiur akan fantasi mengenai bunga dan hutan jadinya aku beli yang Floral Bouquet dan Forest Glade.

Saat barangnya datang, aku nggak sabaran banget pengen nyobain. Mas kurir datang sore hari (iya, aku pakai jasa kurir dengan sistem COD/cash on delivery karena nggak mau repot, hihi). Setelah selesai proses transaksi, aku langsung deh mandi berhubung mau nyobain si Nature Secrets Talc. Selesai mandi aku memutuskan untuk mencoba talc yang Floral Bouquet. Pas pertama muter tutupnya (tutupnya standar tutup talc, bdk: talc bayi) ada aluminum foil-nya. Aku tusuk-tusuk aja tuh aluminum foil per lubang pakai cotton bud yang udah aku ilangin cottonnya, LOL. Kemudian aku taburin ke tangan dan aku pakai ke beberapa bagian yang sering berkeringat seperti punggung, perut, keti, dan leher. Nggak pakai lama langsung meresap kok.

Yang bikin aku suka dari si Floral Bouquet adalah wanginya yang bunga banget. Mungkin bagi beberapa orang ada yang mikir wanginya lebay. Ya sih, kalau dicium langsung emang agak lebay, tapi kalau udah diaplikasikan wanginya jadi sheer kok. Pakainya kan dibadan yak, bukan dihirup doang bedaknya, LOL. Setelah pakai si talc ini rasanya jadi kering deh si badan. Asiikkk!

Hari kedua aku nyobain si Forest Glade. Wanginya menurutku wangi dedaunan campur apa ya, gak ngerti juga sih, pokoknya agak hangat dan maskulin gitu baunya. Kalau dibandingkan dengan si Floral Bouquet, si Forest Glade ini lebih ramah baunya dan lebih seger. O ya, talc Forest Glade ini wanginya cocok untuk cowok lho karena emang maskulin (nggak wangi bunga/buah kok). Setelah diaplikasikan ke tubuh juga cepat kering dan nggak meninggalkan wangi yang aneh di kulit. Kalau ditanya suka yang mana, aku lebih suka wanginya si Forest Glade. Sangat hutani banget *maksudnya?*

Kekurangan dari produk Nature Secrets Talc adalah kalau pengaplikasiannya menggunakan tangan, rasanya tangan jadi kering. Tapi kalau kena kulit badan rasanya talc ini lembut, halus, dan nggak bikin kulit kering/mengelupas. Jadi buat yang punya telapak tangan yang agak sensitif seperti aku kalau mau aplikasi talc ini aku sarankan menggunakan kasut atau tepukan bedak kayak yang dipakai buat bayi itu lho. Sekalian wadahnya juga nggak apa-apa. Soalnya bekas bedaknya agak nggak nyaman di telapak tangan (kalau menurutku lho ya).

+ Wanginya seger

+ Mudah meresap di kulit
+ Tahan keringat seharian

+ Membantu mencegah/mengurangi bau badan

+ Cocok untuk daerah tropis yang lembab dan panas
